Overnight Auckland. | | Day 2: Waitomo Caves | Travel by motor coach to the Waitomo Caves for a silent boat ride on an underground river into a cavern lit by millions of iridescent glow worms. Lunch awaits at Crosshills, a lovely garden estate. Return to Auckland for the night. | | Day 3: Pastoral Countryside | Head into the farming and wine areas of the west, bound for Muriwai Beach, home to one of only two mainland gannet bird colonies in the world.
